Ashtanga is a dynamic style of yoga with a set sequence of asana and a fixed order of postures. Each asana is preparatory to the next one slowly deepening the flow. This practice emphasises the link between movement, breath (Ujjayi breathing) and bandhas (energy locks).
The Primary series aims to detoxify and realign the body.
Although the practice is intense, it is accessible to all levels and practitioners.
Seeing the practice as a movement for body and soul to be fully and consciously present.
The approach, with adjustments, is soft and gentle and will show the benefits of this practice which is a meditation in movement’

Meet Francesca
Francesca, born in Italy, living in Portugal with her 3 children & partner, has been practicing and teaching Ashtanga Yoga for almost 15 years.
She sees the practice as a movement for body and soul to be fully and consciously present: “a full moving deep meditation”.
Francesca is also studying Holistic Naturopathy to transmit knowledge and wisdom, through Chinese Medicine, Bach Flowers & Essential Oils.
For the last 7 years also working with feminine energy, holding circles and supporting women to awaken their ancient power.
Francesca seeks the sacred in everyday life, seeing beauty inside and out & blessing her days with rituals, incense and prayer.
